My name is Nici (pronounced Nicky). I am the CEO of Jends Creatives and I want to take the opportunity to welcome you all to this, our official blog.  

Jends Creatives is a limited company with a mission. It is our aim to help people learn to smile more through the successful application of our new system, Craft Therapy.

In the new world post Covid19, lots more people are struggling and suffering. All over the world there is hardship, loss, grieving and sadness. I mean a global pandemic is going to have that effect on people, even if it isn't turning us all into zombies - yet!

It's a sad world.

At Jends Creatives our mission statement is: Creative People with Creative Solutions.

The solutions we are working on at the moment make the backbone of Craft Therapy which is a new way of life I am discovering, that helps you to become as happy as you wish to be.

*Disclaimer. The word therapy in Craft Therapy does not make this a recognised conventional medicine therapy. It is used in a holistic therapeutic way and should in no way be used in replacement of therapy provided by conventional medical therapists.

Craft therapy is a combination of cross body crafting with techniques such as mindfulness, gratitude therapy, compartmentalisation, goal setting hormone balancing, nutrition, exercise (but not as we know it Jim). Cross Body Crafting

We are gradually building a variety of websites which will support the progression of Craft Therapy, selling things like needlecraft kits, other crafting kits, an eBay store to sell crafting components and much more. We have so many plans for the future as we grow both this company and our community, so please find a way to stay in touch so we can update you on any new development. Our Link list page, will give you organised links of all the places you can find us quickly as well links to things we find useful, interesting or fun!

We will also be producing books to explain the various aspects of Craft Therapy in a much more detailed, scientific manner. So look out for Happy Mind, Happy Body, coming soon on Kindle.

Back to the purpose of all this. So we are try to create a lot of crafting opportunities, from pre-made kits to a shop full of components. The aim is to help people learn how to use their creativity to help increase happiness levels. Creativity is linked to the production of the Happy Hormone Dopamine, so have a look at our Dopamine page for more details. The relationship between hormone balance and happiness is also a key theme of the book Happy Mind, Happy Body.

Creative Happiness!

So there will be articles about different crafts on here, how to use them and what the benefits of cross body crafting actually are and a general look into how creativity can lead to joy.

There will also be articles explaining the basics of nutrition and the role this plays upon health and happiness.

 We are in early stages at this point, but we are also going to be doing YouTube crafting tutorials to teach people how to use cross body crafting effectively.

Science has long known of a link between cross body crafting and the release of the happy hormones. Craft therapy is about using this link to help us learn simple strategies for a happier life.  Check out our article about how Craft Therapy actually works for the full scoop!
